ABOUT SHARON
Sharon Royers was an elementary school teacher and principal with the Omaha Public Schools for eighteen years before retiring due to a brain injury. She was also an adjunct instructor for the University of Nebraska at Omaha and Concordia University. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Brain Injury Alliance of Nebraska. Her concussion story has been shared by LoveYourBrain.com and the Nebraska Council of School Administrators. She continues to advocate for the brain injured by working to ensure all schools in Nebraska have the tools to comply with the Concussion Awareness Act and the Return To Learn Law.
Sharon is originally from the Chicago area but has lived in Omaha, Nebraska for the past twenty-five years with her beloved partner and husband, Rick Royers. Together they have raised three children and now enjoy time with their two granddaughters.
